Science National Honor Society

Science National Honor Society is a prominent scientific organization that will engender a new group of young thinkers who will be the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America.
 
SNHS promotes academic excellence, fosters a sense of community, enhances science education, and positively impacts students by providing recognition, networking opportunities, skill development, and avenues for community service.
 
Members may be eligible for scholarships and other awards through the national network. 
 
In the 2024-25 school year, meetings are set before and after school on the third Tuesday of the month in Room 1-33.
 
Who can join: Sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 (unweighted) overall GPA, and a minimum 3.5 (unweighted) GPA in science classes. Eligibility criteria also includes science classes taken / planned.
 
How to join: Applications are given out during the end of first semester in the sophomore year. Membership decisions are made by the end of first semester, and the induction is in January. Contact sponsor Layne Maki with questions, or see your science teacher.
