  • Summer opportunities:
  • There will be no Art Club this week.

  • Mental health small groups with Ms. Bishop and Ms. Rose will continue during lunches once a week. Parent permission forms must be signed and returned prior to joining. These can be picked up in Student Services.

  • The deadline to order your yearbook is approaching. You can order at jostens.com. See Mrs. Burton for more information.

  • Boys tennis will have workouts Tuesdays and Thursdays April 2 through May 9 from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. at the tennis courts. If you have a physical on file and want to see if you like tennis, come on out.  

  • Save the date: Prom will be held Saturday, April 27. Tickets are available for purchase during lunches with Miss Drake or in the front office with Mrs. Craig. Price is $30 for singles / $50 for couples until April 19; prices will go up the week of prom. Post Prom will be in the gym, and those tickets will be $10. You must have a prom ticket BEFORE purchasing Post Prom tickets. Outside guests must be approved. Get your paper turned in quickly.

  • SENIORS: Don’t forget to order your caps and gowns. More than half have not ordered yet. You can order at highschool.herffjones.com. Seniors who have ordered graduation items can pick them up here at the school on April 26 during lunch or after school until 6 p.m. 

  • SENIORS: Make sure your Box 2 graduation information is turned in! See your school counselor in Student Services with questions.

  • FCA meets at 8 a.m. Friday mornings. Enter through Door 8.

  • Tutoring is available! Click here for details. Don’t wait until you can’t recover before you get help. See Ms. Bishop for information. 

  • Senior lunch is Wednesdays and Fridays only. Seniors going out to lunch MUST use Door 8. 

  • The MHS Caring Closet is available for students in need of hygiene products, food assistance, and other basic items. Please see your school counselor, social worker or Ms. Bishop in Student Services.

  • Chess Club meets every Tuesday and Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. in Room 1-12.

GENERAL REMINDERS:

  • When entering for boys basketball games, students should park at the tennis courts and enter Door 11 of the arena. For girls' games, enter at Door 15. You must have your student ID. Students must sit in the student section or upstairs. You may only enter and exit each athletic event one time. There are no pass-outs at games. Only MHS students are free of charge.
     

  • MHS students get in free with student ID to MHS home games, but there is no free entry for MHS students to McCulloch Junior High games. The cost is $2 per student, cash only. 

 

ON SCHOOL DAYS DURING THE YEAR:
 

  • Students are not to be in the building before 8:30 a.m. or after 4:05 p.m. unless you are under the supervision of a teacher or coach.
     

  • If you are walking to the building or being dropped off by car in the morning, enter at Door 8 in the back of the building; enter the drive on 26th St. (NOT use the west drive on Carey Street). Click here for more information.)
     

  • No students are currently allowed to leave the building for lunch. No DoorDash or other food deliveries are permitted.  
     

  • For those of you who drive to school: Students are not allowed to park in the front circle or in the staff and visitor parking lot in front of the auditorium.
     

  • Hats and hoods pulled up are not allowed in the school building. Please remove when you enter the school.
     

  • Any student carrying prescription medications, inhalers, or epinephrine pens, please go to the nurse’s office for permission forms.
     

  • If you are having a problem with someone picking on you, be smart and use the resources available. Please come to the office and see Mr. Blackmon, our conflict resolution officer.
     

  • Students are not to use the school’s elevators unless you have been pre-approved by the school’s nurse or the main office due to an injury.
