MHS band earns ISSMA's highest honor for sixth time in a row

For the sixth time in a row, Marion High School’s band program has earned ISSMA’s All Music Award.

Every year, ISSMA hosts several competitions for music students in the state. The All Music Awards are the culmination of those contests, and the music departments who earn them are among the best in the state.

Director of Bands Joshua Huff noted that this is the third consecutive graduating class at MHS to achieve this milestone all four years of high school!

To qualify for the All Music Award, the band must have received gold ratings in all of the following events:

This is an outstanding accomplishment, six times running, and our fantastic music students and teachers deserve much praise. We take this opportunity to say congratulations to them all!

  • Choir concert: 6:30 p.m. May 15, MHS Walton Center main stage
  • Band concert: 5:30 p.m. May 16, MHS Walton Center main stage
