MCS invites the public to help us honor our veterans

With Veterans Day coming up, Marion Community Schools offers the community the chance to help us honor those who have served our country in the armed forces.

MHS JROTC Veterans Day ceremony

Marion High School invites all current and former members of the United States Armed Services and their family members to a Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony on Nov. 10, 2026. (The actual date of the holiday, Nov. 11, is an e-learning day for Marion Community Schools, so we are observing the holiday on the day before.)

This event will pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces, recognizing their sacrifices and dedication to our country.

The ceremony is set to start at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 10 in the gymnasium at Marion High School, 750 W. 26th St. Please enter Door 15. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Parking for the ceremony is located adjacent to the gymnasium, behind the main school building. This event is handicapped-accessible.

Please contact the JROTC Department if you have any questions about this event, 765-664-9051 ext. 7221.

MJH / MPL veterans display

McCulloch Junior High School is collaborating with Marion Public Library and the Marion History Center to create a display that honors local veterans. This tribute will serve as a visible reminder of their dedication, courage, and the freedoms they have helped protect.

MPL and MJH are inviting the community to join in this meaningful effort. The submission form is available on the McCulloch Junior High website (https://mjh.marion.k12.in.us)

>> Click here to view the submission form

Submissions will be accepted through noon Nov. 2. Please note that any photos submitted should be copies, as the displayed photos will not be returned.
