Twenty-two Marion Community Schools band students have been selected for regional honor ensembles this fall. And Marion Community Schools is proud to host these honor ensembles right here in Marion this fall!
IBA All-Region Honor Band
First up will be the Indiana Bandmasters Association All-Region Honor Band, which features select students from around the region in grades seven through nine. After weeks of practice on their own, on Nov. 14 the young musicians will gather to rehearse together for the first time. Then, on Sunday, Nov. 15, they will present a public performance at 4 p.m. on the main stage at the Walton Performing Arts Center at Marion High School, 750 W. 26th St.
McCulloch Junior High School and Marion High School students who were selected for this ensemble are:

- Samuel Davies, freshman
- Jack Freiburger, grade 8
- Maybrey Kissell, grade 8
- Alice Leonard, grade 8
- Hailey McKillip, grade 8
- Annemarie Sanchez, grade 8
- Christopher Villarreal, grade 8
- Micah Wayman, freshman
- Kyrie York, freshman
IBA All-District Honor Band
Next will be the IBA All-District Honor Band, which features select students from around the region in grades nine through 12. They will gather to rehearse together on Nov. 21, then offer a public performance at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, on the main stage at the Walton.
