Congratulations to Nyomi Hahn, who earned the sectional championship in high jump at the girls track & field sectional held here at Marion High School on May 19.
She will advance to the regional competition at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne on May 26, as will several other Giants:
- Sectional runners-up:
- Naomi Cox in the 400 meters
- Dakhota Daley in the 100-meter hurdles
- the 4 x 400 relay team of Jayme Hardwick, Khloe DeLuna, Hahn, and Cox
- Journey Clark advanced in the long jump with a third-place finish
- Daley also advanced in the 300-meter hurdles with a third-place finish

First, second, and third place in all individual events and relays will advance to regional, as will select other individuals and relays according to the IHSAA standards.
