The Giants are headed into post-season play in several spring sports.
Here's a look at the upcoming competitions:
Track
Marion will host the boys and girls track sectionals at Dick Lootens Stadium. Admission $8 (kids 5 and younger admitted free). Tickets are digital; purchase through Eventlink.
Along with Marion, competing teams are Blackford, Bluffton, Eastbrook, Elwood, Frankton, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, Northfield, Oak Hill, Southern Wells, Southwood, and Wabash.
- The girls sectional starts at 5:30 p.m. May 19
- The boys sectional starts at 5:30 p.m. May 21
First, second, and third place in all individual events and relays will advance to regional, as will select other individuals and relays according to the IHSAA standards.
Girls tennis
Competition starts May 19 at the Bill Beekman Tennis Courts here at Marion High School. Admission to these matches is free.
Along with Marion, competing teams are Blackford, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, and Huntington North.
The schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.
The winning team will advance to regional.
Softball
Competition starts May 25 at the Mississinewa sectional, but the Giants won't play until May 27. Admission is $8 per session or $20 for all sessions (kids 5 and younger admitted free). Tickets are digital; purchase through Eventlink.

- Game 1: Norwell vs. Mississinewa, noon
- Game 2: Heritage vs. Bellmont, 3 p.m.
- 5/26:
- Game 3: New Haven vs. Game 1 winner, 5 p.m.
- 5/27
- Game 4: Marion vs. Game 2 winner, 5 p.m.
- 5/28
- Championship: winners of Game 3 and Game 4, 5 p.m.
