The Giants are headed into post-season play in several spring sports.
Here's a look at the upcoming competitions:
Golf sectional
The Giants will compete in the boys golf sectional at Norwell (Timber Ridge Golf Club) starting at 8:30 a.m. June 5. Admission is free.
Also competing at the Norwell sectional will be Adams Central, Bellmont, Blackford, Bluffton, Eastbrook, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, Norwell, Oak Hill, South Adams, and Southern Wells.
The top three teams advance to regional, as do the top three low-scoring individual golfers who are not on an advancing team.

Track
Marion will host the boys and girls track sectionals at Dick Lootens Stadium. Admission $8 (kids 5 and younger admitted free). Tickets are digital; purchase through Eventlink.
Along with Marion, competing teams are Blackford, Bluffton, Eastbrook, Elwood, Frankton, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, Northfield, Oak Hill, Southern Wells, Southwood, and Wabash.
- The girls sectional starts at 5:30 p.m. May 19
- The boys sectional starts at 5:30 p.m. May 21
First, second, and third place in all individual events and relays will advance to regional, as will select other individuals and relays according to the IHSAA standards.
Girls tennis
Competition scheduled for May 19 was postponed due to weather. Competition will now start on May 20 at the Bill Beekman Tennis Courts here at Marion High School. Admission to these matches is free.
Along with Marion, competing teams are Blackford, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, and Huntington North.

- 5/20:
- Game 1: Blackford vs. Huntington North, 5 p.m.
- 5/21:
- Game 2: Mississinewa vs. Madison-Grant, 5 p.m.
- Game 3: Marion vs. Game 1 winner, 5 p.m.
- 5/22
- Championship: winners of Game 2 and Game 3, 5 p.m.
The winning team will advance to regional.
Softball
Competition starts May 25 at the Mississinewa sectional, but the Giants won't play until May 27. Admission is $8 per session or $20 for all sessions (kids 5 and younger admitted free). Tickets are digital; purchase through Eventlink.

- Game 1: Norwell vs. Mississinewa, noon
- Game 2: Heritage vs. Bellmont, 3 p.m.
- 5/26:
- Game 3: New Haven vs. Game 1 winner, 5 p.m.

- Game 4: Marion vs. Game 2 winner, 6 p.m.
- 5/28
- Championship: winners of Game 3 and Game 4, 5 p.m.
The winning team will advance to regional.
Girls tennis - individual
The individual tournament runs alongside the team regional competition.
On May 26, Marion player Shaeli Castaneda won the first round of the individual sectional at Bluffton. On May 27 she won the semifinals round. She will play in the finals round at 5 p.m. May 28 at Bluffton High School. Tickets are $7.
The sectional champion will advance to the individual regional set for June 6 at North Central High School, Indianapolis.
Baseball
Competition starts May 27 at the Mississinewa sectional. Admission is $8 per session or $20 for all sessions (kids 5 and younger admitted free). Tickets are digital; purchase through Eventlink.
