Statement regarding MHS incident

On Jan. 21, Marion High School administrators were made aware of an argument between two students that escalated to a physical altercation at the school, in which one of the students received an injury that required medical attention.

Administrators took action to address the situation, and Marion Community Schools is cooperating with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate this incident. We cannot share details about specific disciplinary action for individual students.

Marion Community Schools takes all reports of threats seriously. Safety of our students is top priority. All reports of threats are investigated.
