Giant finishes in top 5 at Rose-Hulman math competition

Marion High School congratulates Nolan Lomely, who finished fifth in the junior division at the recent Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Contest.

This was the 59th year for this prestigious competition, and 275 students from 18 schools competed on Nov. 1 at the Rose-Hulman campus in Terre Haute.

The contest consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, with 5 points for each correct answer, and a 1-point penalty for every incorrect answer. The top 12 students in each division (junior and senior) earn awards.
