MHS Homecoming Week is coming up Sept. 29 - Oct. 4! Get ready to show off your school spirit, your Giant Pride! This year's theme is "Go Big or Go Homecoming".
There are also many events open to the community. (Those are denoted with *.)
Here's a look at the activities planned far at Marion High School and in the community:
Monday, Sept. 29
- Dress-up theme: Character/Hero Day. Dress as your favorite character, superhero, or role model.
Tuesday, Sept. 30
- Dress-up theme: Western Day. Boots, flannel, cowboy hats — yes. Ball caps — no.
- * Boys soccer hosts Yorktown, 6 p.m. at Dick Lootens Stadium
Wednesday, Oct. 1
- Dress-up theme: Twin or Dynamic Duo Day. Grab a friend and double up.
- * Girls soccer hosts Huntington North, 6 p.m. at Dick Lootens Stadium
Thursday, Oct. 2
- Dress-up theme: Class Colors Day. Seniors: green; juniors: white; sophomores: blue; freshmen: pink.
- Pep rally
- * Boys soccer hosts Peru / Senior Night, 6 p.m. at Dick Lootens Stadium, senior recognition prior to start of game
Friday, Oct. 3
- Dress-up theme: Giant Gear Day. We want to fill the halls with purple and gold!
- * MHS Night of Giants alumni honors ceremony: 5 p.m. at Walton Performing Arts Center; free entry. Click here for more details.
- * Marion High School tailgate: Food trucks, music, friends! More details to come.
- * Homecoming football game: Giants host Richmond, 7 p.m. at Dick Lootens Stadium. MHS students get in free with student ID. For all others, single game tickets are $7 (preschoolers get in free). All students PK-8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Saturday, Oct. 4
- Homecoming Dance: Tickets will be pre-sold. Click here for details.
