Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees is now accepting applications for a vacant seat in District 2.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be a registered voter
- Must have resided in the school corporation for at least one (1) year.
- Reside within the Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees District 2, which is the areas of Franklin and Pleasant townships outside the civil city of Marion but within the boundaries of the Marion Community Schools district (parts of Pleasant Township precincts 1 and 6; all of Pleasant 4; part of Franklin Township precinct 4; and all of Franklin 5). Term: Ends Dec. 31, 2028.

All applications will be reviewed by the Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees.
This vacancy was created due to the fact that no candidates filed to run in the fall 2024 election by the seat being vacated by board member Brooke Thomas. Marion Community Schools thanks Mrs. Thomas for her four years of faithful service as a valuable school board member.
