Marion High School will compete in the inaugural IHSAA girls wrestling state tournament starting on Friday, Jan. 3

The Giants will compete in Sectional 17 at Alexandria Monroe Jr./Sr. High School. Competition is set to get under way at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. (Other schools competing at Alexandria will be: Alexandria Monroe, Anderson, Blue River Valley, Carmel, Eastern - Greentown, Elwood Community, Frankton, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, Lapel, Madison-Grant, Mississinewa, Mt. Vernon - Fortville, Pendleton Heights, Purdue Polytechnic - Broad Ripple.)

Tickets are $7 per person (kids 5 and under admitted free).

The top four place winners in each weight class will advance to the regional, set for Jan. 10 at Alexandria.
