Marion High School junior Alana Montgomery is headed to the first ever IHSAA girls wrestling state finals!

Montgomery won three matches by pin and finished in 2nd place in the 120-pount weight class at the Alexandria regional, qualifying her for state finals.

The state finals will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, at Corteva Coliseum, Indiana State Fairgrounds. The schedule is as follows:

• 8:30 a.m. - gates open
• 9:30 a.m. - parade of champions
• 10 a.m. - first round begins, followed by quarterfinals and semifinals.
• approximately 3:30 p.m. - intermission
• 4:15 p.m. - consolation round
• 7 p.m. - state championship matches begin

Admission is $15, reserved seating. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 15 online here. Parking at the Fairgrounds is $10; entry is off 38th Street or Fall Creek Parkway. Streaming is also available for $15 at IHSAAtv.org.
