Seniors in the state of Indiana are required to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be eligible for graduation.*

The FAFSA is the only way to access federal and state financial aid so it is extremely important that you complete it on time to keep your options open for continuing education after high school! Most U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens (including U.S. nationals and permanent residents, as well as some other designated resident categories) are eligible for financial aid for college or career school. It is also a requirement for 21st Century Scholars.

Financial aid staff from IU-Kokomo will be available for assistance from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. Seniors and parents/guardians can meet with them as needed.

In addition, there will be assistance available to students and parents/guardians from our partners at Project Leadership from 8:45 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Jan. 30
  • Feb. 13
  • Feb. 27
  • March 13
  • March 20
  • April 3
  • April 10

* NOTE: There is an opt-out provision for which some students may be eligible, but we are offering help to our students and families to help them clear this hurdle, because the FAFSA can help open up new possibilities beyond high school for our graduates!
