Seniors in the state of Indiana are required to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be eligible for graduation.*
The FAFSA is the only way to access federal and state financial aid so it is extremely important that you complete it on time to keep your options open for continuing education after high school! Most U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens (including U.S. nationals and permanent residents, as well as some other designated resident categories) are eligible for financial aid for college or career school. It is also a requirement for 21st Century Scholars.
Our partners at Project Leadership will be providing one-on-one support for seniors and their families.
On Dec. 6, seniors will report to the FAFSA Lab in the MHS library during their English class. Assistance will also be available after school until 6:30 p.m.
* NOTE: There is an opt-out provision for which some students may be eligible, but we are offering help to our students and families to help them clear this hurdle, because the FAFSA can help open up new possibilities beyond high school for our graduates!
