The Marching Giants are busy preparing for their second season in the Central Indiana Track Show Association (CITSA, also commonly referred to as the "summer circuit"). There are many opportunities to watch the Marching Giants perform this year's show, "Now I Know ... "!

This year the Marching Giants, featuring 64 students, will compete at 4 CITSA shows, the Indiana State Fair Band Day, and the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Summer Showcase. 

The Marching Giants are coming off a highly successful debut CITSA season in 2021, in which they finished in 10th place at the Indiana State Fair Band Day, the program's highest placing since the late 1980s. Additionally, the Marching Giants earned a Gold rating with distinction in visual performance at the ISSMA Summer Showcase. 

A successful 2021 season lends promise to the 2022 season, which has entered into the homestretch. The Marching Giants kick off their season on July 22 and end their competitive season on Aug. 20. Below are the dates and times confirmed at this point. (The time for their performance at the ISSMA Summer Showcase won't be finalized until a week or two before the show). 

  • July 22, Jay County Lions Club Contest at Jay County Fairgrounds; Marching Giants perform at 7:45 p.m. 
  • July 23, Muncie Central High School Contest at Muncie Central; Marching Giants perform at 7:18 p.m.
  • July 29, Anderson Tartan Tournament of Bands at Highland Middle School; Marching Giants perform at 8:09 p.m.
  • July 30, Drums of Winchester at Winchester Community High School. Marching Giants perform at 7:18pm
  • Aug. 5, 75th Indiana State Fair Band Day at the Indiana State Fairgrounds; Marching Giants perform in Prelims at 10:21 a.m. For qualifying bands, finals schedule will be announced around 5 p.m.
  • Aug. 20, ISSMA Summer Showcase at Kokomo High School. Performance time 4:09 p.m. 

Note: There are admission fees for spectators at CITSA competitions.
