SAT Day set for 3/6; e-learning in place for those not testing

All Marion High School juniors will take the SAT onsite at the school on Wednesday, March 6, during regular school hours.

All other MHS students will participate in e-learning on that day.

Notes for juniors:
  • All juniors are required to take the SAT to graduate and earn an Indiana diploma. Logistically, this is your easiest opportunity to do so.

  • This includes Marion High School juniors who attend GRCC.

  • It is critical that you bring your iPad, charger, and calculator to school on March 6 for testing.

  • Buses will run regular pickup routes at regular times, so juniors who are typically bus riders will still have that option.

  • Lunch will be provided for juniors in the cafeteria as usual.

  • The schedule for the morning will be:

    • 8:45 a.m.: MHS juniors report to their testing rooms
    • 8:45 to 9 a.m.: Technology Check and Directions
    • 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Testing
    • 12:15 p.m.: Lunch provided in the cafeteria

  • Once you have completed testing, you will be allowed to leave school for the day. For those juniors who cannot drive or be picked up, the school will resume a normal schedule until the regular bus arrival time at 3:55 p.m.

  • Please note: There will be no tutoring available on Wednesday. For this week only, there will be tutoring available on Thursday morning, starting at 7:30 a.m. There will be afternoon tutoring available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Notes for Life Skills students:

Life skills students will report to school as normal, but will be going on a field trip. If your child is a Life skills student, please contact his/her teacher for more information.

Notes for all other students:
  • All freshmen, sophomores, and seniors should be sure to take their iPads home with them on Tuesday.

  • You will attend virtual lessons between 1:40 and 3:55 p.m. via Google Meet (link to be posted on the STREAM page of Google Classroom) on the following schedule:

    • Period 1    1:40-1:55
    • Period 2    2:00-2:15
    • Period 3    2:20-2:35
