Girls basketball sectionals rescheduled due to weather

News Blog Category - News Due to the extreme cold temperatures headed our way, the schedule for the girls basketball Class 3A Norwell sectional has been changed. 

The first game between Norwell and Bellmont will be played at 6 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, 1/29).

Marion's first-round game against Bishop Luers has been moved to 6 p.m. Friday. The Columbia City-Mississinewa game will follow at 7:30 p.m.

The semi-final games will be played on Saturday. Heritage will face the winner of Game 1 at 6 p.m., and the winners of Game 2 and Game 3 will play at 7:30 p.m.

The championship game will be played at 7 p.m. Monday.

All games are at Norwell High School in Ossian. Tickets are $6 per session; $10 all sessions.

Jan. 29:
~ Norwell vs. Bellmont (6 p.m.)

Feb. 1:
~ Marion vs. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (6 p.m.)
~ Columbia City vs. Mississinewa (7:30 p.m.)

Feb. 2 - semifinals
~ winner of Jan. 29 game vs. Heritage (6 p.m.)
~ winners of Feb. 1 games face off (7:30 p.m.)

Feb. 4 - sectional championship
~ winners of Feb. 2 games battle for sectional title, right to continue on to regional (7 p.m.)
