Drama Club

Want to have the chance to be on stage? Become a member of Drama Club this year! It’s sponsored by MHS teacher Marsha Vermilion. Drama is for absolutely anyone. It offers students the opportunity to build a lifelong love for the arts, and it provides many emotional and creative outlets for students.

Drama Club is funded by tickets sales at plays. There are no payments or dues for this group.

In addition to the chance to shine in on-stage roles, students also have the opportunity to learn about theater technology, working behind the scenes.

Auditions for on-stage roles are noted in the the morning announcements. See Ms. Vermilion for information about helping with the backstage crew and other behind-the-scenes opportunities. Informational Drama Club meetings are scheduled throughout the year, as announced. (There is no regular meeting time.)

“I believe a world without the arts would be very dark indeed,” Ms. Vermilion said.

So if you have even the slightest bit of interest about Drama Club, or have any questions, come talk to Ms. Vermilion, or email her at mvermilion@marion.k12.in.us!
