On Nov. 19, 42 Marion High School students traveled to the IMA, where they explored the works of art on display with specific attention to portraits. Students observed and critiqued portraits in 2-D and 3-D mediums, such as paintings and sculptures.

The group then had time to discover for themselves what else the IMA has to offer, including the large garden areas.

The MHS students' participation and behavior attracted attention and compliments from the IMA docents who served as tour guides for the group. They certainly represented Marion High School well!

If you'd like to take advantage of exciting opportunities like this one, contact Mr. Larson or Mrs. Davis at MHS for information on how you can join the Art Club.
